Productions
Archive or delete a production
Wrap a shoot without losing its record. Archive to keep it, trash to remove it, restore if you change your mind.
Productions pile up. prepros gives you three levels of "done": archive for wrapped shoots you want to keep, trash for ones you don't, and permanent delete for when you're sure.
Archive a wrapped production
Archiving moves a production out of your active slate while keeping everything—shots, budget, callsheets, documents—exactly as it was.
- Open the production's menu and choose Archive.
- Find it later under your archived productions.
- Restore it any time to bring it back to the active list.
Tip
Each plan has a limit on active productions. Archiving wrapped shoots keeps your slate clean and your record intact.
Trash and restore
Deleting a production moves it to the trash rather than destroying it immediately. Restore it from there if it was a mistake. Only a permanent delete removes the production and everything inside it (moodboards, shotlists, callsheets, budget, documents, share links) and that can't be undone.
Before you delete
- Remember that active share links die with the production; anything a client still needs should be saved or noted first.
- If the production's record matters (budget history, contacts, what was shot), archive instead. Deleting is for productions you truly don't need.
