Shotlists

Build a shotlist

Plan every frame before the shoot: structured shots the photographer, stylist, and producer all work from.

A shotlist in prepros is more than a checklist: each shot carries the details that stop on-set guesswork, and everything the shot needs travels with it.

Create the list

  1. Open your production and create a shotlist. Give it a title and, if useful, a description.
  2. Add shots. Each one takes a title plus the fields that matter: shot type, medium (photo, video, or both), format (horizontal, vertical, square), location, and notes.
  3. Add a thumbnail image to any shot—a reference frame or product photo—so the list reads visually.
  4. Drag shots into the order you'll shoot them.

Work the list

  • Switch between table and grid views; filter by status, type, medium, format, or location.
  • Track each shot's status from pending through completed or approved. The summary shows your completion rate at a glance.
  • Attach resources to any shot: crew, products, looks, locations, moodboards, and more (see Attach resources to a shot).

On the day

Schedule shots into your shoot-day timeline. Checking them off there updates the shotlist too. And share the list with a link (password optional) so everyone works from the same plan.
