Moodboards

Build your first moodboard

Pull your references into one board, arrange them until it feels like the shoot, and share it before day one.

The moodboard is where a shoot's direction gets decided. In prepros it lives on the production, next to the shotlist and styling it will inform, instead of in a Pinterest tab nobody can find on the day.

Create the board

  1. Open your production and create a moodboard. Give it a title, and a description if the board needs context.
  2. Upload images. Drag files straight onto the board.
  3. Arrange freely: drag to reposition, pull a corner to resize.

Tip

One production can hold several moodboards. A main direction plus separate boards for hair & makeup or set design keeps feedback focused.

Share and put it to work

Share the board with a link—public or password-protected, with an optional expiry—so the client and team see the direction wherever they are. Then attach the moodboard to the shots it informs; it travels with them onto the shotlist and shoot-day timeline.
