Budgets
Track crew costs in your budget
Crew is usually the biggest line on a shoot. In prepros it writes itself into the budget.
Crew costs in prepros don't live in a separate spreadsheet: each crew member's fee flows into the production budget as its own line, under the Crew category, alongside your other spending.
How it works
- Give each crew member a fee on their crew record (a total for the production, or a day rate).
- Open the Budget. Crew appears as a source alongside props, locations, and your manual line items.
Tip
Allocate a Crew amount when you set up your budget category allocations.
Keep it honest
- Group the budget by source to see crew against props and locations, or by category to check crew spend against its allocation.
- The crew list and the budget stay in agreement. Change a fee on the crew record and the budget follows.
