Transfer ownership

Hand a team or a production to someone else cleanly.

People change roles, agencies restructure, and a freelance producer sometimes becomes the account owner. prepros supports clean handoffs at both levels: the team and the individual production.

Transfer a team

  1. Open your team settings and choose Transfer ownership.
  2. Pick the member taking over. They become the Owner (full control).
  3. You stay on the team as an Admin, so nothing you're working on breaks.

Only the current Owner can transfer a team, and there's always exactly one Owner.

Transfer a production

Productions have their own owner, separate from the team. Transfer a production when the person running the shoot changes. The new owner gets full control of that production; everyone else's access is untouched.

  • Leaving — members can leave a production themselves when they roll off.
  • Roles after the handoff — the new owner can re-level anyone from the People list; see Roles & permissions.
